Over the past 10 years, singer-songwriter Julie Hardy has established herself as a "go to" studio session singer and vocal coach in NYC. Hardy is on the core faculty at New School University where she teaches jazz singing & improvisation. Julie made her national television debut on Saturday Night Live where she performed with Ellie Goulding and that following August sang on David Letterman with St. Vincent.
She is the lead singer of Brooklyn based electro pop band Clementine & The Galaxy which is poised to become one of 2013’s breakthrough bands. Additionally, Hardy recently signed a publishing deal with Songs Publishing.
Hardy is signed to the renowned entertainment company VAMNation and is the voice of Hershey's Bliss. A vocal chameleon, Julie can sing in many styles ranging from pop to jazz. She is the singer on the College Humor viral sensation "Look At This Instagram" which has accrued over 4 million views.
Julie has been featured on many other national advertisement campaigns including 7UP, Cotton, Hershey's Bliss Purple Power, Liberty Mutual, Barnes & Noble, and Fanta. Her voice can be heard on the McDonald's advertisement "Working Together" which was aired at the closing ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Julie received her Masters degree from New England Conservatory of Music in Jazz Performance in 2001 and a BA from the University of New Hampshire in 1999 in Composition.
